seanbritt Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 As many of you may know, the Canadian Senate is considering legislation regarding changes to the Navigable Waterways Protection Act. From what I understand, the new provisions would redefine what is a "navigable water" so that more development may occur on smaller waterways (likely the ones we visit on the weekends to get our fishing fix). The Government has attached the provisions to weaken the Navigable Waterways Protection Act (NWPA) in C-10, the Budget bill and the economic stimulus package. Its a good time to investigate the proposed changes and make your voice heard if you wish....
