Tarponchaser Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 I saw russ tie a couple of years ago. I've never seen anyone tie flies like that. Would be a cool seminar to see. Quote
CPs Posted March 13, 2009 Author Posted March 13, 2009 Hi Jbort, To kind of keep it simple and short, on the Bow a general pattern of Stonefly emergence goes as follows: (Keep in mind that if winter keeps hanging on these times might be later, but these are in an average year) Mid-April - Early Black Stonefly (Little guys that I've never seen the fish do much with) Mid-May - Skwalas (these can be good) nad Sallys (another little guys, only light colored, that the fish never seem to eat) Late June/Early July - Golden Stones (This is the one evryone talks about) There are a few Salmonflies (very large species of stonefly) on the Bow but not really enough to make an impact like some of the other species. Hope this helps, Mike Gifford Quote
