pigl Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 I am camping up at Water Valley this weekend for the Celtic Festival. Anyone know of any good streams/spots to hit in the area? I have heard that Fallen Timber Creek is a good stream. Any others? Quote

hatman Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 I regularly fish the Fallen Timber closer to highway 22 and it produces some really good sized browns. They come upstream from the Red Deer for the summer and stay till freeze up starts then move back down. You get really good mayfly hatches in the evening and the extended mayfly in brown and grey work well. Be aware of your tippet size as these big boys run hard and can break off really easy as they like to snap their heads back and forth quick and hard. Keep an eye on the river flow site as this river is slowing down very nicely and should be fishable in a week or so. One of my favs Quote
