Guest Sundancefisher Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 I was looking at the 2007 NWT regulations and saw the daily limit of 350 and a possession limit of 350. I am shocked as clearly the population of ciscos is probably very high as they are the prime prey species for Char, Lake Trout, Pike etc. and the young of the year and juveniles are probably eaten by Walleye among other predators. Does anyone else see this limit as excessive? 350 fish seems crazy. That being said maybe no one fishes for them hence my question has anyone from this board caught them? Quote
Flytyer Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 I've caught them through the ice before but that was some years back. As for the limit in the NWT it may be that there is not enough pressure to keep their numbers in check.......in alot of places there are not highly sought........they are great smoked btw Quote
