micCAL Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 I’m new to fly tying and a complete newbie to tying tubes. I’m curious to see what others are tying for tube flies for trout on local rivers (Bow, Highwood, Oldman….). I’ve made some attempts at leaches, buggers and minkies. I’d try a muddler if I could tie one to begin with. I’ve seen tons of steelhead and salmon tubes everywhere but not much for trout. Has anyone tried small salmon flies on the above waters? If anyone is willing to share their experience to steer me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Pictures would be great. Quote
