FishTales Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Please join us this Sunday April 3, 1:00 PM, for our next free seminar installment where Sean Britt, archaeologist and Fish Tales staffer, will give a talk about archaeology. As we all may know, rivers were the highways of First Nations and Native Americans. A source of transportation and fresh water, the vast majority of archaeological sites are found in and around river drainage systems. With hundreds of sites in Calgary alone, come hear Sean talk about the nature of archaeological sites, what to look for and what to do if you encounter something while out on a float or a walk and wade. And in case you were wondering, there will be a show and tell! The next installment will be Sunday April 10, 1:00 PM where local commercial tyer Tom Cutmore demonstrates tying techniques for the Nor Vise. Quote
