Basic Fly Fishing Schools

This school is perfect for beginner fly fishers who wish to learn the basics of fly fishing. We'll teach you all the basics to make you an informed, educated and independent fly angler!

2011 will mark the 30th year for Country Pleasures Fly Fishing Schools. Over the years we have taught thousands of people - both men and women - to fly fish and we are confident that nobody does it as well as Country Pleasures.

This school is perfect for beginner fly fishers who wish to learn the basics of fly fishing. Classes are based on a one-day format, commencing at 8:30 am and finishing by approximately 4:30 pm. Cost is $125 for all instruction and equipment, just show up and have fun!

Also available in gift certificate form, a perfect gift, let them pick the date! A confirmation letter will be forwarded approximatley two weeks prior to the school.

Enrollment is limited to sixteen students per session, with two instructors present at all Schools. All elements of the sport will be covered in the day (examples below).

With purchase of tuition includes a significant store discount to help you make your first purchase as an educated fly fishing consumer. This option allows you, the angler, to pick the equipment that suites you best since as you will find out, not all rods, reels and lines are made equal!

Special note: Country Pleasures will provide all tackle and equipment for the students to use during the schools. In fact, we would sincerely recommend that students not buy tackle prior to taking the School because they will be much better educated consumers after the School.
