Guest rusty Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Yeah...once again - if it's private, you should really say so. Quote
Guest bigbadbrent Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 just like how every person on here post's which river, when, what flies, what time of day... Quote
SteveM Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Schweet fish, fellas; I like the pic of the release. Quote
Guest rusty Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Brent - I fish a fair amount of private water and I have nothing against anyone who does. I personally think that if you're in a position to do so you should jump all over it. Furthermore, I'm not suggesting that you should say where you are - especially if it's the kind of private water where you can walk through a construction site or ask permission and get on. All I'm saying is that those rainbows are that size because there is little angling pressure and no harvest - so it's really misleading to say to people "this isn't Bullshead". Of course it's not BH - we all know that. Let's face it - we all post pics because we like to share and we like to beat our chest a little. Nothing wrong with that. But if you're fishing water that's not totally public, just say so. It's no different than shooting a big buck on a game farm somewhere and telling everyone you nailed it elsewhere. Really nice fish though - you can tell that whoever's managing that place is not overstocking it and that those fish have got lots to eat. They must scrap well too. Quote
matt1984 Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 nice fish, but I think I like the hartford hat even more.....I've still got my old whalers jersey from when I was around 5 or 6 years old. Quote
