The Stimulator

Hi everyone,

 

The August issue of “The Stimulator” has a good mix of news that we think will be of interest to many of you.

 

Trout Unlimited Canada asked us to help spread the word about the search for their “2011 Artist of the Year”. Western Sky Land Trust would like to see the fly fishing community represented at their upcoming “Watershed Forum” in September. This event is subtitled “Increasing Capacity for Watershed Conservation”.

 

We’ve also included a reminder for our “call for entries” to our Back Cast Fly Fishing Film Festival, which is coming up in February. This part of our film festival is geared toward amateur film makers, and proceeds will benefit Project Healing Waters Canada.

 

The segments which have generated the most interest to date include “Jet Boat Woes on the Bow (2010 edition)”, the two new Alberta-based fly fishing blogs, and the four new fly fishing e-magazines. The latter segment includes “Fly Fusion” magazine, published by the local Bird family.

 

There are six listings under “Drift Boats for Sale”, including three new ones.
