Birddog Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Was wondering if anybody had any info on Idaho for fly fishing, we are heading out to Sandpoint Idaho for a week and my better half is letting me go for a day, was wondering if anybody has any info on where I could throw a line. Thanks Quote
flyangler Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 The spots we fished in Idaho are at least a 3 1/2 hour drive from Sandpoint; the St. Joe and the Clearwater near Avery and Pierce. I'll bet there's some good fishing closer to Sandpoint. check this: http://sandpointoutfitters.com/flyfishing.html Quote
PAV Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 I fished the Coeur d'Alene river a few years ago for small cutts and had a great time. Saw a larger fish move through a pool from a ledge but was not sure what it was. I think there are RB's and Bulls there as well. Think of a river similar to the Oldman and that's what it's like. Very nice and lots of river access from a road that runs along it . Good luck. PAV Quote
