TerryH Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 I came across this cool video on another site. Each yellow dot represents one aircraft. The video shows a full 24 our period. Note how the traffic levels change as daylight arrives in Europe and then North America. When you see the huge number of aricraft in the air at any one time, it adds some perspective on the risk of flying. beedhead Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 Thats pretty cool...I cant even imagine how much jet fuel gets burned up in a 24hr period.....Wow, I would think that many Aircraft would give off some serious amounts of emissions...Hybrid jets in the future???... Quote
LynnF Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 wow...that's very cool. Just confirms what hard jobs those air traffic controllers have. Being a horrible flyer, I sure didn't need to see that graphically displayed just before getting on a plane though lol Quote
