Whistler Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Anyone I'm buds with on facebook has probably seen the photos from my Alaskan trip this year. He had a blast couldn't say enough about the great time He had!! Laurie, is a great guy. Please tell him I say hi. For what it's worth, for anyone thinking on going, the K-tok is a mind boggling watershed and I really mean mind boggling. I imagine it holds the sort of life our fisheries on the Columbia, on the Skeena and elsewhere did before they were mismanaged to the point of breaking. You can fish all day and seriously be into large, bright clean salmon (Chinook, Chum, Sox), rainbows, dollys and grayling non-stop. The amount of life coursing through that river is something you need to see before it's a thing of the past. al Quote
Whistler Posted September 10, 2009 Author Posted September 10, 2009 yes Al, what really sticks out is on about our 4th day there was an afternoon that was really sunny and the river was quite clear. The river was so full of fish of all descrtiption it was like an aquarium, literally 1000 of fish going by. I'll never forget the run up back to the lodge that evening with the light just so and all those fish. It does make you think how many watersheds used to have such stocks. btw, give me a shout when you have a spare moment Brian Quote

I'm fishing with him up on the Bulkley at the end of the month, looking forward to that trip. Brian Quote
