    I witnessed someone fishing chironomids without an indicator last spring on a lake in the East Kootenays. They explained the technique as follows. Tie approximately 15 to 20 feet of fluorocarbon to a floating line, cast out to target area and then slowly hand retrieve. It worked very well. Not sure whether there is more to it. I tried to no avail. Any enlightenment would be appreciated.
