  1. Going through my routine of reorganizing my fly vests for the coming season. I like to see what I can do about what goes where. Years ago I used metal a tippet organizer that hung the spools on the outside of my vest. I found that the sun reaped havoc on the material not to mention being easily caught up in bush. So I normally just store spools in a vest pocket, which makes it cumbersome to access especially since I tend to buy the large spools. I’ve noticed on some of the vests out there a nice built in tippet dispenser. Taking the lead I decided to customize my existing vest. Just adding a couple of Grommets (kits are available at hardware stores) and stringing the tippet through has made a difference in easy access. I imagine you could add a slotted rubber baffle inside to hold the material but this has worked well for me. hope this helps somone.
