TFO BVK 8' 6" 4wt is a great rod for the price

How about a TFO BVK0. It's a large arbor 2-3 wt reel with no drag.

Check out TFO BVK 10 foot rods. They are available in 4-6 wts.

Rods comes in different length. Are you planning to fish smaller rivers than get one that's shorter. They also come in different type of action. Use these criteria to help you decide what you want and price also.

I use a pair of Oakley C-wire with polarized Amber lens. You can see pretty clear into the water.

Skagit would be better for beginner cause the head is short. Easier to learn.
