  1. Can't seem to find anything solid online about mixing the resin with the coloring powder (powder to resin ratio) anyone have any experience with this? Also can you mix a whole bottle or does the powder affect the resins shelf life. I really like the applicator needles as apposed to the brush

    Thanks

  2. Just wondering if anyone would be kind enough to share some recipes for bull trout flies. I've never tied any and any help I can get as far as recipes and tips would be great. If anyone knows about a book out there I might be able to get my hands on to help would be awesome.

    Thanks

  3. So it seems some @$$holes decided to smash out all the windows at must be nice. I drifted last week on Tuesday or Wednesday and it wasn't like that so sometime between now and then but it doesn't look like they left a single Peice of glass in the house. Just putting it out there incase someone knows the owner so they can let them know and give them a chance to deal with it before a major rain storm comes along. Wtf is wrong with people these days

  4. Cant really answer your question about how much interest you'll get but your a braver man than I. Not sure what a boat rental is worth but there's someone renting out a hyde on kijiji for $200/day. I would look into waivers and legality issues. I would imagine if you rent a boat out to someone and they drowned themselves they'll have some family member looking to sue. If they damage the boat you'll need something in black and white holding them accountable for the damages or at least an insurance policy to cover it and maybe a fee similar to one you would get when you rent a uhaul. I would assume you would need to keep inspection records for the boat, equipment and safety gear, a bulletproof waiver form leaving you not liable for any personal injury or death type stuff, i would assume the insurance would need to be commercial for the boat so you can rent it out to whomever calls and still be covered by your insurance company if they damage or destroy the boat. I'd also look into how your insurance company would cover the boat while in transport due to the fact that it could be anyone renting the boat and driving it to wherever. Sorry about the rant I was just board and was actually talking to a buddy about this same subject a few days ago.

  5. Go on that forum and tell them instead of being pussies and whining from afar. This forum gossips about them.......Honestly it is very small minded.

In no way did I intend for this post to turn into a b**** session about the AO forum. I simply made an observation, a decision to not be apart of it, and decided to say thank you to the members of this forum for making it a place where I can make a post without fear of being ridiculed by 50 people. So once again thank you, and if your comments are negative please don't bother posting them.

Hope you all have tight lines and nets that are to small.

  6. I joined the forum due to the fact that I started hunting this year, 3 weeks later i delected my account. I honestly cold not believe the amount of negative bs that is on that site. I mean, someone asks a question and 50 people jump down his throat. I have never seen anything like it. I'm not saying the site is all negative, but it is so much so that I for one will never go back (sure there not gonna miss me either).

And I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the members on this forum for the lack of negative bs. I really enjoy logging on here.

  7. And I'm sure the officer did it because of your annual income right? I don't believe in fining someone to the point of bankruptcy and the fine may have been sufficient based on there financial situation but there were other penaltys that could have been inforced to set a proper precedence for future offenders. In this paticular case a proper precidence was not set

  8. I see this as a win. What Jordan did brought significant media attention to a case that would have not been reported on outside of Lethbrige.

A $1000 is a lot of money for a lot of people. I think it has some bite in this case. I do feel they should have lost license privledges for longer.

It is important to understand that other cultures would have a difficult time understanding catch and release regulations. Even in Europe, catch and keep only is more common than catch and release. If you had emigrated there and were busted for releasing fish, wouldn't you argue for some consideration?

Ignorance is no excuse for breaking the law. If you make a decision to imagrate to a new country, purchase a sport fishing license and choose not to read the regulation associated with the activity or blaintantly disregard them, then you should be held accountable for your actions...period. I agree that 1000 is a lot of money for some but the fine definitely does not match the crime; a cop doesn't give you a discount on a speeding ticket because your low income, you broke the law, you pay the fine, regardless of financial status.
