I went to Farminton, New Mexico which is about a 1/2 hour drive from where the San Juan
river comes out of the Navajo dam. I went at about the same time of year that you will be
in Scottsdale. The river was in full flood. The only place that you could fish the river was just
below the dam. It is a great fishery with over 3000 fish per mile and only about 1/4 the size
of the Bow. Lots of small flies in the 18-26 range. The big hatches are Midges.
Lee's Ferry is also a good place to try.

Well I am not making it out this weekend but last weekend was magical. Between my son
and I we caught and released close to 90 cutthroat trout. (1) was 21 inches, (7) were 20 inches
and the rest were in the 12-19 inch range. We caught 99% of the fish using a parachute
Blue Wing Olive in a size 18-22. A few of the holes that we fished had anywhere from 25-45
fish raising at one time. All I can say, it was a great way to end the fishing year for us.

Hello everyone
I just purchased a pair of Simms Guide waders from a store in Whitefish, Mt. The
store is called LakeStream Fly shop. They have to older Classic Guide wader ( the
tan color before they went to the two grey color wader), anyway they had them on sale
for $174.95us. I thought this was a great price. With shipping it cost me $203.50
Canadian. Do you think this is a good deal or not ?

I am new to this forum, but I have been fly fishing for 33 years. 30 of those
years have been flyfishing stillwaters. But I was born and raised fly fishing
the Elk River and tribs in B.C. I have also fished every lake in the East Kooteney's
for the past 30 years. So in the future I sure hope to post some topics and
some of the trips that I take. I have lived in Calgary for the past 20 years or
so, and I do fish some of the waters in Alberta. So you might hear from me from
time to time on this forum.
So Hello to everyone, and even though I do not know you Birchy I hope your
procedure goes well.

May I suggest the Triangle Taper fly line from Wulff product. I have been using
these lines for about 20 years and I think they are one of the best lines around.
You can buy a TT-6-F at Wholesale for $46.99. Great line !
