Don’t know if I would put money on the Bruins. After what we witnessed last year with the Bruins being up 3-0 in the eastern finale, that was an epic choke...

Where are all the haters, it seems that since the flames have been playing extremly well after the break everyone is quite or is are they eatting crow?
Maybe you should also ask where are the flames fans

Is this the same guy they couldn't kick out fast enough last season...
Is Sutter nuts? This is too funny!

Ah yes, the Calgary Shames
Hey, anyone looking for a really good laugh can scroll back to all the posts from october on this thread when everyone were saying the Flames were gonna take it all this year

You should post the video footage on youtube!

I could have freakin' predicted it. Those damn cheatin' international ref's hate the US and called the game so that the Canadians would win, again. How hard was it to figure out that they would stop calling penalties against the Americans in the third so as to limit their shorthanded chances and start calling them against Canada to give the red horde their shorthanded chances. Cheating bastards.
Eh-Oh-Canada----shove it up your ass.
Great damn game. Wish we would win one of the freaking things every once in awhile. $10 says we loose to the effin Fins. I hate hockey.
Rick your starting to sound like a losing flames fan
Yeah, it was like switching between a gold medal game & a funeral; only switched a couple times before it stayed on the junior game.Such great atmosphere @ the juniors. Fun to watch!
That's a good way to sum it up. It was like night and day between those two games.

I was there. Funny how that phantom hit slammed Kopitars head into the boards. And can someone explain to me how when two guys are racing for a puck on an icing situation the guy in front put himself in a vulnerable position? This stupid rule is going to get someone seriously injured one day. Hell, even Cherry thinks so. Not often anyone from outside Canada agrees with Don, but he's right on this one.
Phanuef was just a little pissed off because he didn't make team Canada.

I also wasn’t a fan of Green making the team. The other defensemen selections just had a little more to offer than Green. There’s more to a defenseman than what shows up on a stats sheet. Green is where is because he plays and passes the puck to AO. Remember his play in the playoffs last year against the pens, enough said.
And not to bash sid, but I wouldn't of picked him even as a alternitive captain, I would of given it to Thorton (now he's a real hockey player)That's a pretty bold statement there. Sid has been to the finals twice, has lead and won a cup and is only 22, Thorton never came close.

Interesting way to grab onto a Pike

The oldies from the early 80"s and 70's are a great read.
I had some great talks with George , he loved those polar bear hair jigs.
They really were a great read.
Those were the days when all the bulls were called dollies

Does anyone know if they sell that clear rubber net material separately? I've seen the black mesh material sold separately but haven't seen the rubber ones, or maybe I just haven't looked hard enough!

I can't wait to see the look on Burke's face at next year's entry draft seeing his #1 draft choice going to boston for the next two years...

I thought it was a pretty good game

Perhaps it's the warm fall and lack of snow that's keeping some around still...

which there is usually a deposit for?
Yes, aluminum cans do have a deposit and if they didn’t there would even be more out there. Recycling does make a difference...
I agree that "to go cups" are becoming a huge problem and around here especially from Tim Horton's. I'm not sure if a deposit is really the way to go, however, as I know tons of people who are already too lazy to recycle cans, never mind adding another factor. I think the first step is really to enforce that these companies use containers that are made from recycled materials and that are also completely biodegradable. This doesn't really solve the problem of litter, but I'd rather see 20 cups in the ditch that I know won't be harmful and will completely break down than 10 of the current ones. Using recycled materials also removes or limits the tremendous demand on some resources that these companies require.Good point, Tim's is under pressure now to make their take away containers with recyclable material, hopefully this will take effect.

The garbage gives the inmate work programs and the 4H something to pick up in the spring. This is a self esteem builder for both groups.
Cups in the ditch are a win win the way I see it.
I didn’t see it that way Canadensis, I wouldn’t want to see inmates out of work or suffering from lack of self esteem…

Is it time for people to pay a 5 or 10 cent deposit when they buy a Tim Horton's coffee?
Recently I've noticed there's so much timmies garbage out there that it's starting to out number aluminum cans...

Is it even a lease? I thought fortress ski resort was built long before kananaskis became a provincial park.

all my flies are hookless, I'm only in it for the strike.
Isn't that called "compassionate fly fishing"?
I've read an article about guys who fish like that.
-
I could have had 100+ fish days but I don't bother to get to that point because it gets a little boring after a while. It's too easy, I personally find it more rewarding putting in the effort to fish difficult streams and trout.

Now that's a nice cake, dairy queen special order?

There was also a lot of construction going on up there this summer with lots of trucks passing through and yes tight security.

Sounds like a great trip. I was also in the area on the weekend but didn't make it far as Coral! Seen quite a few choppers flying around but looks like they took the opposite direction...
