I've been trying to get a hold of him but not getting messages replied to. Is he still around? Been trying for several weeks now.

how many times is this topic going to be posted? A search will show quite a few and this topic is getting old. Perhaps mods can merge them all together in a single thread

Good point, that is how it works.
Hey, how do we feel about posting pics of violators here?
Pretty sure you can't post someone's pic here you need a model release to do that sort of thing being they can be identified

The group and it's platform have been setup but unfortunately due to lack of interest from the English speaking community it has been set as a French language group. Thanks to those that showed interest and perhaps in future it could be expanded to include English if enough interest is shown.

I think it isn't a very good idea to post this thread here. Are you aware that anyone can read this section without being logged in? Which means anyone that stumbles across this site can see it. This is just an invitation to have something happen. You have given potential thieves a when and where to make a score.

Sounds interesting? Are you thinking more of an online group or a get together/tying night sort of thing?
I don't have the skill or patience for tying the classics,I tie more like go-to workhorse flies, bucbugs, bombers, haiwings etc.,but I wouldn't mind expanding my horizons into speys,Dees, and proven steelhead favorites?
All depends on how many where they all are, get together would be nice but may not be all that practical. There are details that cannot be address to there is an idea of how many are in and so forth, just measuring interest at the moment.

Like fully dressed flies?
If one so wishes, most people I know tie hairwings, bombers and a few strip wings. Really no specific style, the only criteria at the moment would be they be salmon flies.
-
Just throwing this out there to gauge if there would be an interest or not. I am thinking of starting a group/club for those that tie salmon flies. It could possibly expand to include steelhead flies at some point in time depending on interest. I know there are a fair number of people here there are from the Atlantic provinces and this may be something for them.
If you are interested let me know and we'll go from there.

I'm surprized no one mentioned yellow, been using yellow for many years along with several others here I know. For those who don't know, yellow polarizars are deemed best by aviators

I don't tie them myself but do have them custom done in sizes up to #1

only an idiot would willingly move to the NE/SE! Stick to the DMZ (de militarized zone), no gang shooting and much nicer communities. I will never live on the east side of Deerfoot or south of down town. I LOVE it in the NW
I live on the east side and you imply I'm an idiot........and what do you know about militarized zones? You have first hand experience? As a retired member of the armed forces I find your comments insulting to our forces. You my friend should choose your words more carefully

Born and raised on the Gaspe chasing salmon since I can remember. Served 25 years in the CAF retired as a Capt home base was Val-Cartier. Did peacekeeping in Bosnia, Somalia amongst other places. Met the dream fille of my life in Isreal of all places. Contemplating moving back to PQ to chase salmon more the trout here just don't do it for me.
