This one was 18 gauge red copper wire that I bought from Michael's. The skinnier wire is easier to work with though. After about 5, you get on a roll and can make them pretty quickly. Conor Posted October 3, 2009 Share Posted October 3, 2009 FW- No thread on those. Put the hook in the vise, hold the wire with your left hand and wrap with your right.
