I've seen cutties with furunculosis. Starts off looking like red acne/pimples. Low water may have him scraping bottom more often? Nothing I could see. But to me it looked a lot more than just a cut and a scar. It was more of a growth, almost tumor-like. I'm no expert though so maybe it is just a healing wound.
