Im going through the BC stocking report for the Okanogan area and i have a question of what a Tripoid (AF3N) is? Stated differently than a Trip-L-oid. From what i can read in the report it is a "AF3N - All Female Tripoid (sterile)" but Google brings nothing unfortunately. Are these still monsters just with out the L?

"3N - Triploid (sterile)" i also wonder if it is just a typo

Thanks

Just a typo.

You can have triploid 3N (male and female) or all female triploid AF3N.

The males still jack (see secondary sex characteristics) even though triploid.

They will only get huge if there is lots of food around. Therefore the stocking density has to be appropriate.

The lake in question has more food and stocked yearlings to feed HongKong j/k it was just odd that it was a typo for all the stocking reports but i guess thats what happens when you copy and past gov. reports.

Thanks for the clear up.
