  1. Well folks, March has definitely “come in like a lion.” To help keep you warm despite the frigid temperatures, Fish Tales Fly Shop is having a 3-day sale on select clothing. For Saturday, March 1, 2014 through Monday, March 3, 2014 customers will save 20% on the select products (while supplies last) from Simms and Patagonia. Check out this link for some products available: http://www.fishtalesflyshop.com/2014/03/01/march-in-like-a-lion-sale%E2%80%A6-three-days-only-march-1-3-2014/ Also, what better way to spend a frigid Sunday then learning how to improve your nymphing techniques from one of Canada’s leading competition anglers – John Nishi. You can apply what he shares with you to your nymphing strategy in the coming months. John has been a representative on Canada’s fly fishing team for several years. Here is a brief bio on John (found online at the Innovative Fly Fishers.com forum.) “I started competitive fly fishing in 2003 while attending the 1st Canadian National Fly Fishing Championships and Conservation Symposium in Manitoba, with a hard-core & talented group of fishers from the Northwest Territories. I particularly enjoy competitive fly fishing for the camaraderie, travel and immersion in new landscapes and cultures, and continual learning opportunities it presents.” As always, seminars start at 1:00, are free and open to the public, and first ones in the doors get the seats! Hot coffee will be available to warm you up!
