Cutts: Upper Bow, Upper Highwood and tribs, Upper Oldman and tribs, Upper Castle and tribs, Ram and tribs
  6. Those are my trophies from hunts long ago when Badger didn't even exist. There just used to be an irrigation ditch running north/south there.
  7. I think the non-resident fee is around $60 (yearly)/$30(few days) and the daily classified license about $21.50
  8. Good show mkm. Took my pointer down to the river this morning for our daily pheasant attack, but I didn't see any fish working. The bwo's were hovering over shore but none were on the water. What time was the rising going on?
  9. I started with my Dad's bamboo rod in about 1972. I still have the rod. Hopefully my son will have the desire to use it and carry on the tradition.

I think the 7/8 reel was a little overkill today
  17. Suzanne and North Star on the east side of the road between campground and Jaffery. RBT and bass in Suzanne. I think they through some brood stock in Suzanne. Bass will take stimulators beside the bull rushes. Pretty cool to watch the rushes move as the fish comes to your fly. Lots of sticklebacks in the lake as well.
  18. Does he wear rubber boots?
  19. I like this attitude. I think I have seen my backing less that 10 times in 30 years of fishing the Bow. Just put the boots to them and you rarely have to move more than 20 yards (if at all).
  20. Beautiful clean fish
  21. Black spot (with bump) is from trematode larvae.
  22. Set the hook as soon as you see anything out of the ordinary. Sometimes it is only a tiny slow down during a float/swing of the indicator. When fishing calm water, you might only see a rotation of the indicator rather than the indicator being submerged. The faster you set the hook the better. As the length of the leader increases, so must the aggressiveness of the strike. Hit 'em quick, hit 'em hard. The biggest reason for missing those quick, tiny hits are because they are often from small fish slashing at your fly. Bigger fish are more deliberate and usually your indicator goes down nicely.
  23. Sockeye are usually "caught" by flossing by the locals. Long leader, bottom bouncing, line through the mouth and then hook snags on the outside of the mouth.
  24. You can get an IP (illegally possession) ticket since you are not at your place/temporary place of residence.
  25. This is steelhead in the Columbia----in Oregon!
