Well guys I fell in.... Got Toolman to order me up a great Beulah, and can't wait to start casting it. Tossed some of Toolman's rods and absoultly love it, can't wait to get my hands on it!!!!

Only been ting for about a year and my apex vise seems to do the job just perfect. I belive you can get the base, c-clap and vise for about $140 @ Fish Tales.

My table is at about waist hight, but I am sitting in a high chair also (Note: in now way is high chair in reference to a baby seat!!!) I sit back in my chair and my arms are slightly bent, been ting a ton of bull flies as of late. When ting small *hit, I am a bit closer as I need to sqent my eyes a bit!!!!! I would say whatever makes you confortable is an "Accaptable" hight.

As for who would win, I really don;t care, I am a stamps fan, but if I had to choose one I would say Both teams deserve it, I would like to see Kerry Josph get the cup he deserve but the boomers has played so hard all year for this, and its gonna be alot tuffer on the bommers since their starting QB is out with a broken arm!

Lynn, You could be getting some interfence from stuff like cell phones or 2.4ghz phones, there are lots of things that share the same frequence as wirless routers that can cause some problems. Also where is your router placed in relationship to where you are, remeber routers work on the umbreal effect, where you get the strongest singal right above it where as beeing under the router you will get a extremly weak singal also. Hope this helps.

I agree that the guides on ALL Alberta's river, streams, lakes, etc.... should have a business licence and a guide lince, but I think it is much more important right now to make sure that ALL guides have some sort of First Aid training, and river safty, u can add these into the lincence but there is alot of legal issuses that have to be hashed out with lincesing a guide before it can be put into action. In my own opion First Aid training and river safty is much more important then a guide lincese! (BTW sorry for the crap spelling)

Well since we are all boosting here! I might as well jump in also

When I first started a year ago I had the vest and all the gear. I was constantly getting sore backs and dislocating my shoulder (Already injured from years of abuse from playing football) I since then have gotten rid of the vest gone to a backpack (swiss gear) I can now hold double the amount I use to, no longer get a sore back and only dislocate my should about 5% of the time (I know it sounds strange but ask Max about the bow I caught with my shoulder out) Anyways I did try a hip pack but lost a shite load of stuff in 2 months I used it for. Back pack all the way!

I have also been taught that overlining your rod can breed bad casting habits. Also if the grain weight of the line is not correct you can also put unnessasary pressure on your guides that can cause them to break over time. I just recently put on some 8wt line onto my 7wt reel/rod, and man can I cast but when practicing my casting with my 4wt I noticed that my casting got very sloppy, and could of been much better then what I was casting. My suggestion (same that was givin to me) is try underlining for a bit then balance, then overlining and find which line is best suited for you. I am doing this myself and doing it for a season at a time, that way I do not waste my money on a line that I will not use.

I have been asked to see my licence and WIN card on a couple of occasions, so I would have to say yes, and it is manditory that you purchase one every five years so I diffently could see them asking to see this, I belive however, they can not fine you if you do not have one! I have also heard from a bunch of relabile people that have told me that in a couple of years no more paper licence, too easy to get wet and wrecked, and everything will be computerized with the WIN card acting like your drivers licence. Yes you still have to buy a licence every year but they are taking away the excuses, oh I fell in the river and have this mushy one!

No offence Harps but calling 5 or so hours afterwards is very ineffective, I've told Rap and the C.O's all the hot spots for pochers and what not and yet it still happens for whatever reason. I feel that if I don't go over there and say something then its just as good as doing nothing, I can stop the person from killing 1 trout or letting them kill 10 trout. 90% of the time it is just people that do not know the regs or are misinformed, and like Max said, they pack up and leave. As Stwarts of the river it is our job to educate people to what the regs are and not sterotype them as BAD PEOPLE, they could just be vactioning out here and where they are from are allowed to use Bait/keep fish, I work with a guy that just moved here from Finland and he was surprised to hear that you are not allowed to spot light fish or use bait or keep all you catch, I asked him if he read the regs and he said he was never given one when purchasing his licence, weather that was true or not doesn;t matter. Does my co-work deserve to be labelled as some of you have labelled other people, I think not, but if I didn't say anything and just called him in hours latter who knows how many trout he may of killed.

If you have no phone like me you can;t call, so its just as bad as doing nothing. And if you think I go over all crazy eyed you need to think again. I say hey you know bait not allowed on this river.... etc, etc, etc........ If you give no reason for violence, violence should not happen, its all about karma.

I agree with Max on this one. I personally don;t have a phone so I say screw it, its time to start protecting the river.

Like most people, when I lose a fish you hear a argh afterwards, but that is about it, lately I have been losing a ton of fish with learning how to side pressure, either trying to swing the trout in or tring to aviod any obsticals that might get in the way. All in all its nice to have a fish on espically if it is a hawg that is boiling like a mad man or jumping out of the river like a dolphin.

I would buy any TFO rod, Tioga reel, I left my outside the whole winter, I remeber one winter day I went out to get my setup and my reel was one gaint ice cube! I am currently using a Dan Bailey and really like this reel also!
