  1. We are conducting a Citizens Science project to collect daily Water Temperature data from our rivers. If you are out fishing in the ES1 or ES2 Zone, in the next 10 days, please take a water temperature reading and send it to me via forum message or email to: gregats@live.com. Please include your Name, Water Temperature, Name of stream/river/creek with a general location and date/time of day. Spread the word to all of your fishing friends so that we can record as much of this valuable data as possible. Your cooperation and contributions will be greatly appreciated. Greg Allard

  2. Hi Mike, Myself and my group of fishing friends have been using Mike Mailey to tie our flies for the last 5 years. He’s been around shops and guiding since the 80s. I usually have my special requests and then ask him for his advice and favourites. The quality is outstanding with hooks, materials and cement. I don’t recall having a single fly come apart until it’s caught several fish. He charges by the hour and I have found the prices to be more than fair for what I get. It’s been working out really well for me. Dave

  3. I see you have edited your original response, now including a link to an article from Feb 2018. LOL, nice! I like science, too. In fact, the science you provided was a study in which warm water temps did indeed increase c&r mortality. So I'm willing to leave the fish alone during the afternoons for the next couple of weeks if it might help them a little. As for this leading directly to worse restrictions, five-year closures, the extinction of c&r flyfishing, etc, etc -- who's inventing the bogeyman now?
