  2. New regs are out: https://mywildalberta.ca/fishing/regulations/documents/2018AlbertaGuideSportfishingRegulations-Mar2018.pdf Zero retention on the Crow... happy with that from a conservation standpoint, but a little concerned about implications of what led to it.

  3. Deb and I are on a ski tour of the Koots and it's was pissin rain up high today so we decided to tour the local natural history museum in Nelson (very cool exhibit, by the way). Came upon this cool story about an early fly fishing guide, from Norway, by the name of Ole Skattebo... The cool part IMO, was his attitude (elitist to some, I'm sure) "Holding others to high standard. Ole allowed no trolling. He frowned deeply at drinking and carousing. He was known to be unable to find a boat or those who did not behave the way he thought a fly fisherman should". Words of wisdom in this (our present) day and age!!

  4. I don't know why they haven't made an app for the regs yet. The tables aren't very well formatted for a mobile device and who even carries around a paper copy of the regs any more?

  5. Glad to see the Ram remaining catch and release, would have been a shame to see retention allowed given how the fishery has turned out.

  6. Inspired by the Klink on the previous page, and trying out more turkey. First one i went a little shallow into the bend and spaced the turkey wraps a little further out. The second I went further into the bend and made the body wraps a little tighter. Not sure which I prefer the look of.
