Hi Peter

Will there be barriers installed to stop vehicles from driving along the bank of the river?

At this point in time there is little that can be done below the high water mark until we see how the flow of the water changes once the large instream rocks and the high flows this spring clear off a chunk of the gravel bar.

But what we plan to do is to make it almost impossible to drive outside of the alloted parking area!!!

We will be encouraging those that see any abuse of the site, report it to us so we can take appropriate action.

It is important that everyone understands that the Policeman's site is PRIVATE LAND where access has been granted to the public for responsible recreational use.

This site is not a four-wheeler playground.

Good morning,

With the first phase of work being completed these past three days, has the big rock been taken out? If not I’m assuming and hoping it will be done on the 2nd round of construction. .

thanks

Maxwell posted a video on instagram of heavy equipment in the river and it looked to me that they were working on the rocks at the end of the Big berm

I am not in town this week, but an ammendment to the permit was made to meet the  requirements. Our engineers informed that the required wool was completed.

Had a look at launch yesterday, putting a boat in will be easier the opening to the river is a bit wider, rocks out front are gone. A bunch of Lego blocks have been dropped for future use.

the alternate launch had a bit of a scrape off the top edge leading down too it.

doesnt look like a bunch done yet, but it's a start.

i was at the meeting the sat prior to the start of construction and ultimately the parking lot will be smoothed out, blocks placed to restrict driving all over the place etc.
